Basic Life Support

This course is delivered in line with the Resuscitation Council UK guidance and is aimed at learners either as an update or for those who have never practised simulated Basic Life Support before. CPR/AED and accurate referral to emergency services skills will be assessed in the classroom. Overall this course will address a balance of both theoretical and practical skills requirements with an opportunity to practise in a safe environment

 The Role of the Chaperone

This course is designed to enable delegates to develop the foundation skills to actively achieve a high standard of chaperoning and communication skills. Attendees will be able to identify when and for what a chaperone may be required and will understand the role of the chaperone during examinations / Consultations. Attendees will understand the confidentiality issues involved in chaperoning and will be able to identify the procedures for raising concerns, about professional performance.

 Conflict Resolution

This course is delivered in line with the NHS Business Services Authority Conflict Resolution National Syllabus and is aimed at learners either as an update or for those who have never attended this course before. Overall this course will address a balance of both theoretical and practical skills requirements for conflict resolution but will not require delegates to undertake role play.

 Infection Prevention

Infection Prevention is a fundamental course enabling delegates to understand responsibilities in relation to infection prevention and control. The course will cover the principles and precautions of infection prevention and control and review the resources available within the workplace.

 Object Handling & Patient Minimal Mobility Assistance

Our patient handling course is designed to help you and your organisation meet the requirements of the manual handling operations regulations by helping establish an awareness and ability to carry out manual handling risk assessments of both inanimate objects and that of people and principles of movement. This course covers the following modules, inanimate load handling and postural awareness, minimal mobility assistance; sit to stand, walk, stand to sit, falling patient, safe use of wheelchairs and safe use of equipment.

 Object Handling

Our patient handling course is designed to help you and your organisation meet the requirements of the manual handling operations regulations by helping establish an awareness and ability to carry out manual handling risk assessments of both inanimate objects and that of people and principles of movement. (Administrative and clerical staff only)

This course will look at the systematic, as well as the individual approach to providing excellent quality customer care and provide delegates with an increased ability to deal with difficult situations and handle complaints effectively

 Change Management

This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to manage change effectively. Following the course, participants will be able to understand some basic theories about change management. Understand a range of common responses to change. Evaluate personal responses to change processes, and personal coping strategies. Understand Bridges’ model of transition. Understand how to support team members at different stages in the change process. Develop skills to manage change effectively. Be aware of a range of tools to support change processes and be able to manage conflict.
